Description

Rhythm Recognition 

The workshop covers how to record a good quality ECG, placing the leads and electrodes in correct positions, basic 12-lead ECG interpretation and rhythm recognition.

Suitable for: 

  • Nurses, paramedics from ward areas, clinics, remote and rural areas.

Continuing Education

  • NMBA: 6 CPD points for nurses & midwives. (2 hours e-learning, 4 hours workshop)

Course content

  • Patient preparation to ensure a good quality reading
  • Anatomical land marks for normal and alternative electrode placement
  • State the reasons for recording a 12 lead ECG\Information represented on an ECG tracing
  • The views that are obtained from each lead

 

Prerequisites

Recent employment in a clinical environment.
